A few posts ago I asked Tony about the DM ‘55 Chevy convertible because I was thinking about mayhaps bidding on a blue 1/1000 model online. I asked if was a repaint of the common yellow model of which I commented that I thought was kind of crude. I made that assumption after never seeing one in person, only photos. I took a chance because I don’t have a ‘55 Chevy in my collection though I dearly love the 1/1 and I have 2/3 of the “tri-five. I received it today and opened it half an hour ago and was instantly smitten! Beautiful model, absolutely love the color, I even like the conti! Thanks for the inspiration Tony.
Looks like a very nice model.

DMs is so much more detailed than the FM version. Been looking to replace the FM with the DM for a while. Nice pickup Kevin.
Hearty CONGRATS! Just beautiful!!
That's a nice one!

Wow, great score Kev. I may have to look for one now, darn it, lol. If I can snag one, the buttwart will disappear though. It also looks WAY better without the skirts.😉😁
@geno I was never a fan of the continental look myself Geno. That held me back for some time because I don’t have the skill or patience to undo it. When I first saw it in person I immediately knew I liked it. To me it doesn’t have the pimpmobile look, it’s kind of classy. I’m with you about the skirts! Good luck with your search. Thanks for everyone’s comments.
check out the 1/1!
Congratulations Kevin. I have it and love it in both colors DM made the model.
Nice ! It is a real beauty. I have 3 1955 Chevrolets (a coupe, a convertible with Continental kit and a Nomad and all are real favorites.
My Dad and our family had a brand-new full-size 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air in coral and grey.
