What the hell? Was that a real tank, or just some scale fantasy piece? I've NEVER seen that before - ever! 😬 😬 😳
@chris It's an exercise in futurism, Soviet style. I think there's a game called Apocalypse. It's so imaginative yet it adheres to Russian tank designs. I though you might get a kick out of it. As a main battle tank, it seems appropriately formidable. You look at it and say, "Now THAT'S a tank!". LOL
Something unique and different. Not my cup of tea, or should I say, glass of vodka. It could fit ok in a collection of Autocult models.

@rich-sufficool Oh yeah Ed, Rich... Autocult subject matter for sure! I don't "do" fantasy pieces, but if this was an actual WW II tank... I'd have to have it! 😳 😳
@grockwood I like it! I have most of the 1/18 WWII German & American tanks that are (were ) commercially available, but there's still a few I'd like to add. 1/18 3-D printed augmentation parts & supplemental upgrades offer additional period-correct variations, for instance, this "Bastone" replica.
@chris I'm surprised the "First in Bastogne" doesn't have at least some of the field applied winter white wash on it.

Great point Rich. Upon closer look at the pic of the 1:1, it appears to have the winter white removed in spots. You can still see some of it just above the word, "First" and a little on the turret, drive wheel and road wheel carriers.
Chris I have the Bastogne Jumbo Sherman and other Sherman models made in resin by Ebayer Picklehaube. I also have a Tiger II, Jagdtiger II, T34-85. and other mod kits in 1/18th. I just can't find the energy to build them. Picklehaube currently has some completed mods for sale on ebay. They are not cheap though.
@grockwood Yes, I've seen all of pickelhaube-customs outstanding work; there's also a seller in England who sells 3-D printed 1/18 WWII German & American vehicles, and another, in China, that offers 3-D printed 1/18 WWII figures.
- Between these three, plus what's available commercially, I could fill a pole barn with 1/18 WWII battle scenes! As you noted, one could easily spend 5-figures, perhaps even 6-figures acquiring everything. 😬 😬 😬
- Post some pics, if you can, of your 1/18 WWII "stuff;" many here - including me - would love to see them.
- All that I do have is a considerable amount that takes ups plenty of space. Furthermore, I've "enhanced" many of them - adding details, fabricating working steering, weathering, etc.... Most of my 1/18 WWII projects have been posted here as tutorials.
Here's just a few examples:
All of mine are boxed up. I do have some pictures of my Dad's half track conversion. During the Korean war, he did his advanced training on the M16 Quad 50. He has built and modified a M16 in every scale The 21st Century M16 is a M16a1. The quad sets higher without modified side and back. Pictured is modified M16 and a M3 GMC.
