I read where it was apparently damn near impossible to drive...love the roll-bar-radiator though! ๐ ๐ย
Just a BIT unusual.ย Lol.
1972 Cuda, "Motown Missle" This car was going to be a tube chassis car but the NHRA told them it would not be legal so they did not pursue it any further, then low and behold what do they find at the Winter Nationals in Pomona, California but Bill Jenkins with a tube chassis Vega, several teams were not happy and the NHRA brushed them off and passed Jenkins Vega in tech inspection.
This car even though it was full of innovative tech and features was obsolete the moment it showed up at the Winter Nationals. Funny how the NHRA had a problem with Mopar and even Ford dominating but they never seem to have a problem with General Motors dominating. Today Pro Stock is a shell of its former self and pretty much an all chevy show. They don't even run all the races anymore because the class has been so badly mismanaged.ย

Well, you got me on these two....ย if they're 1/18, I can honestly say I've never seen these before. ๐ค ๐ค ๐ค ๐คจย
@chris They are by Ertl and part of the Legends series, both were limited to 2,500 pieces and the Bob Glidden one is hard to find at a good price when you can find one, the Dyno Don Mustang I had not seen anywhere before and I lucked into both of these on Ebay, they were brand new in box and fairly priced as well.
More photos of the Bob Glidden, Dyno Don Nicholson mustangs and the Motown Missile of Don Carlton. The Motown Missile was a development car by Chrysler that shared what they learned with the other Mopar teams. The car itself was not owned by Chrysler. Don Carlton ultimately ended up with ownership of the team and after Motown Records started complaining the name of the car was changed to Mopar Missile.ย
