Looking forward to the year ahead? Or perhaps feeling some slight concern about time moving on and wondering whether you are still up to the challenges ahead?
Here is my own take on the subject of still being able to "cut the mustard". I think I probably posted this quite some time ago, maybe on the "old" Forum, but I know your memory isn't what it used to be, so I thought it might be worth giving it another whirl. Just to encourage you and maybe put a wry grin on your face. (Feel free to roll your eyes in despair and switch it off. It hasn't cost you anything.)

LOL! That's GREAT Graeme! I hadn't previously known the lighter side of Lawrence Welk before now. He's really good!
Been a tough year taking care of Shirl - recurrent falls, a myriad of tests and treatments. A journey from the ER to a walker to cane to almost back to normal - so 2025 is holding the promise of better things to come.
Happy 2025 to ALL!!
Rock away! We need this sort of optimism for 2025. CARPE DIEM!
Thanks Graeme, you caught me on my rocking chair this morning!

@perrone1 Lawrence Welk. Right. I think that may have been a thinly veiled insult, but in the New Year spirit of kindness and reconciliation we'll let it pass.

Insult? Moi? No way Jose.@perrone1 Lawrence Welk. Right. I think that may have been a thinly veiled insult, but in the New Year spirit of kindness and reconciliation we'll let it pass.
Lawrence, though I never liked his music, has always held a special place in my heart. It was due to his fondness, and mine, for champagne music. I LOVE Champagne and I LOVE music. Just not his.
As an end-stage Boomer, for me this is more Incredible String Band than Lawrence Welk. Well done, Graeme!
...AND I'll be watching Jools Holland's Hootenanny at a proper time...6:30 Eastern!😴😴😴😴😴
And of course this sweet tune....

Graeme, you, my friend, are an excellent lyricist. Thanks for sharing. Would it be OK to share this outside the forums?
