Jack, sorry for your very stressful time. I am so glad that the cancer was caught in time and that you are now on the mend. Like Geno, my prostate cancer was found very early and I'm in remission over 2 years. Hang in there and our prayers are with you Jack.

Jack, I will just add my voice to the chorus of good wishes for a steady and full recovery, and I hope you will soon feel strong enough (and inspired enough) to resume posting when the fancy takes you. Heaven knows, I would find life at the intellectual pinnacle of The Forum Experience™ desperately lonely with nothing suitably daft to respond to. Hang in there (making full use of your finely-honed simian brachiating techniques.)

I guess I also have to add my name to the list of forumeers who have had an investigation of something apparently trivial and ended up having an unsuspected and symptomless problem discovered. I had mine safely removed before it turned nasty. I only got the final "all clear" a week ago and am feeling mighty relieved to have dodged a bullet.
