OMG! Listening devices that must be part of SETI no doubt. Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence

Lol, if anything Extra-Terrestrial is happening it's going to be happening in the backseat. And please don't spill the popcorn. Those unpopped kernels can be painful 🤣

LOL...excellent!  I once drove off from a drive-in movie with one of these still attached to the window of my '53 Ford.  Had to replace the cracked laminated glass.  Not my finest hour.

Jack I'm sure you're not the first.

@sizedoesmatter LOL...no doubt John.  The next day my father found the speaker in my Ford and gave me holy hell because he thought I had stolen it.  Good grief!

Jack, the guy who told you this was a cheap way to get stereo lied. I have my doubts however that you had stereo on your mind at the time.

@bob-jackman LOL.  My main focus (as a dumb, embarrassed kid) was to get out of there stat.  Undeveloped teenage brain syndrome.

At the one still operating in our town, The Parkway Drive-In, you must use the FM band of your car's radio since they removed all speakers from the poles.

Yep, the pole at my local Drive-In had a nice meeting with my driver side door. That left me a very nice reminder.

@jack-dodds, so many unanswered questions! What movie? Who with? Why were you so distracted? Is there any chance that, even though this was not your finest hour, the one before was?

@jkuvakas I wish!  Truth is I was with my buddy Murray watching Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea; it was smuggled-in beer and popcorn night I'm afraid.  I did have a number of "finest hours" in that old Ford though, on other occasions with my first true love Paula at that drive-in.  Great memories!

Lol Jack, don't even get me started with all the euphemisms... I want to keep this clean.  I loved the Seaview and I don't even know how many models of it I built. I still wish I had my model of the spaceship from The Invaders and The Chariot from Lost in Space. Now those were some first class models !
