This excellent comparison is very close to a tie for me but I give the nod to the Chrysler styling, which I have come to appreciate much more in recent years.

Like Jack, I'm immediately tempted to call a tie. I like both of these cars so well I do not want to disappoint myself by picking one over the other.

I very much dislike the Chrysler's third (middle-positioned) bumper bar. I very much dislike Buick's center grille guard & spotlight.  So I'm voting today for the killer New Yorker!

Both are wonderful, elegant automobiles. Once again John makes a decision difficult. I'm going with the Buick because I can remember seeing one on the street back in the day but can't remember seeing the Chrysler until years later.

I never warmed to the Chrysler (smaller headlights), I’d rather the Buick.  ✌️

Chrysler. It looks patrician.

It's funny how we all have different taste.  For me the grille on the Chrysler does nothing for me, but the Buick excites me with it growl look.  My vote today is Buick.

Ties always go to the Mopar in my book so Chrysler gets my vote

I voted for the Buick.  Had it been the 1947 Plymouth, that would be my choice.

Interesting choice here. I do prefer the Chrysler overall, here.

The Buick gets my vote. The post-war Chrysler designs never really appealed to me, but I wouldn't mind driving one!

Going with the Chrysler...my uncle had a new black '47 Windsor 4-dr sedan with Fluid Drive.

The New Yorker gets my vote. It exudes so much more class and distinction for me. I can really see myself sitting behind the wheel of the Chrysler way before the Buick.
