Two of my personal all-time favorite Forties cars.  For me, this is a virtual TIE!  That "waterfall" grill on the DeSoto gives me goose-bumps and almost by itself makes it a favorite car of mine.  And the Mercury is simply iconic.  Period!  Yup, a TIE!
