Poll: Which '49? (5/16/2021)

I really like both but the Mercury gets the nod.

Mercury for me. The Pontiac is also an interesting car but for 1949, I feel the Mercury is superior.

Both are awesome cars but the Mercury wins by a nose for styling.

Another Mercury vote. Iconic looks.

My heart says Pontiac but my eye says the Merc.  

Now see, this one is easy.  The MERCURY is the winner hands down.  I like both cars a lot, but in comparison, the Pontiac is extremely dated looking. 

And here is a little known TRIVIA FACT about the Mercury.  In the 1948-49 BATMAN MOVIE SERIAL, Bruce Wayne drove a 49 Mercury Convertible.  When he had to change to his alter-ego BATMAN, he would put the top up on the car and change.  Pre-Batmobile for sure.  

Tough choice for me as both are favorites of mine.  Loved the '49 - '52 Pontiac convertibles with a passion when I was a kid.  

Though I dearly love Pontiac have to go with the Mercury for it Cool factor....
