I love the iconic '49 Mercury, but that Oldsmobile looks a definite "cut above"!

In my teen years, when seen driving the forty-nine Merc, you were, obviously cool. And while you were also cool driving the Olds, you were thought to be driving Dad's car! Merc for moi!

I love them both but have always been partial to the design of the '49 Mercury, my favorite year of its 3 year body style run.

Interesting that say the Oldsmobile is "future looking". Though I love Oldsmobile's, this '49 next to the Mercury, looks dated and old.

I like both! But the Oldsmobile is old and dated looking next to the iconic Mercury for '49. MERCURY for me!
