You do not see a Cosmopolitan every day. The Buick, by 1951, got a little long in the tooth. Lincoln please.
I love both of these boats. Unlike Tony, my pick is the Buick because of it's long teeth although not as long as the year before. Not sure but I suspect the Buick went to Dr. Sufficool and had it's teeth straightened from 50 to 51.

LOL! Rich is certainly a GOOD 2th doc.
Sorry, neither do it for me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I much prefer the Buick styling over the Cosmopolitan in any year....'49 thru '54.
To me, that gen of Buicks are true classics. My first car was the first of the next gen, a ‘55 Special 2dr. ht.
@perrone1 Hey Tony, My wife’ urologist had a license plate on his 911 that read “PP DOC”.
Classic Buick👍

@jack-dodds Great pics Jack, the blue one was my cars color combo. I found this pic on the inter web years ago, it’s the exact twin to mine. I was married while in high school and my sister and brother in law gave it to us as a wedding present. It was from Kentucky and was as spotless as the one in the photo. At the time it was just a 15 year old used car, and I didn’t really appreciate it at the time. I often wish I still had it, but you know how it is with reality.
@kevins Yes most of us have similar "if only I had kept it" regrets...but of course none of us had a crystal ball (nor would we have believed it anyways...lol).
Nonetheless I am surprised at the fairly decent internet asking prices of these good quality Buicks, Oldsmobiles and the like.
@jack-dodds You are so right Jack, I have way too many “got rid of” regrets to list. I really don’t think my brother in law was real keen about gifting the “Buhog”, as it was affectionally called by my buddies. He had plans to put a built 430 from a totaled Wildcat, along with a turbo 400 and 12 bolt, and leave the rest totally stock. I think my sister blackmailed him with a lackanookie threat!
Not really a fan of either, but I went with the Buick only for it's grill.
