I really like the lowered look of the Hudson Pacemaker. It was also a less bulky car than the Buick.

The Hudson is just a prettier car, the smoother look wins out over the Buick.

Hudson for me, but it seems to have been a design that didn't merge into the excesses of the fifties like the Buick did.

The "Step-Down" Hudson design is a favorite of mine. For '51, it beats Buick for me. I'd have a much more difficult choice if John had compared '49s.

Buick is my pick between these convertibles as I never liked the thick windshield frame of the Hudson; especially with top down.  In sedan form I would pick Hudson by a nose.
