Despite coming home from my delivery at the hospital in 1955 in a 1951 Chevy, the Ford is my choice.

I have almost all of Brooklin's models of it, and I love the casting.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Ford by the slightest of margins for its flathead V8. I have models of both in 1/43 scale white metal.

I went Ford. But had the Chevy been a convertible and especially in 'Moonlight Cream' I would have gone that way, since it was so prominent in the Steve McQueen movie, "The Hunter". His last.

Ford on this one.  Those taillights do it for me.  Made a model of one back in the day.

but the “Hunter” Chevy is cool.

That's the one (The Hunter Chevy) Frank! After filming was completed, McQueen bought the car and owned it until his death, a year later - 1980.

The Thistle Grey model is awesome!

WOW!  Another one that surprised me with the voting tally.  I voted for the CHEVROLET.  And honestly, I expected the Chevy, based on it's lower sleeker looking body, would be a run-a-way winner, but I'm wrong, it's Ford.  Seems both GM and FoMoCo got the "design a split rear window memo.  Chevy just looks more modern to me.

@perrone1  Pic not my car, mine was a twin to the car in the pic BUT, mine was not in good shape, the paint was faded and thin in places and when I abandoned it, there was no 2nd gear and the generator was dead. Went to Vietnam for 13 months and never returned to Texas.  Wonder what happened to that car? Was registered to me at the time.

Still made for good memories. Sorry you never got it back. Welcome home! Thanks for your service!

I prefer the Ford a tiny bit more than the Chevy.   To me the 51 Ford Vic was the best looking of the shoe box style.

I'm going with the Chevrolet...growing up we had a '49 which was similar to the '51.
