The Ford sure makes the Chevy look old-fashioned! The Ford's dramatically lower hoodline and smooth-fendered rear quarter panels make it look far more modern.

I'll take that Ford Victoria that I believe was offered only with the V8, compared to the Chevrolet's six. Handling was better too. Despite being the last year for the 1949 styling, I still prefer it to the more rounded Chevrolet.

We owned a 1951 Chevy that Dad bought new. I came home from the hospital in it in 1955. We kept it until 1962.

Despite the nostalgia, the Ford looks so much better and performed better too. It wins

This one was easy for me.  The CHEVY with it's more modern and sporty styling wins out for me.  The Ford wide in the front and narrow in the back styling was just odd looking to me.  The CHEVY seemed newer looking.

Love them both but Ford styling and drive train are better.

Both are very nice but the Ford’s tail lights [brake] the tie for me. 👍

I'm going with the Bel-Air and its tried and true "Stove Bolt" six. Granted, the Ford had a flathead V-8, but they suffered from vapor lock.

The Chevy for me.  My first car was a '51 Chevy, though not this top-of-the-line Bel Air.  Special memories!
