Going with the Merc here. The Hudson is a terrific car but I'd rather own the Monterrey.

I prefer the Mercury. I like the size and power train.

Going with the sleeker lines of the Hudson today.

I like both cars very much and would be proud to own either one, but I give the nod to Mercury styling by a slim margin.

Back in the day, I wouldn't have given the Hudson a second thought. Today I have come to respect the styling but not enough to pick it over the Mercury with it's flathead V8.

As much as I like the Hudson, against the Mercury, it comes in second.  The Mercury for 52, 53, and 54 have always been favorites of mine.  The 54 especially with those great taillights.

Say what you want about the Hudson's styling, but I gotta believe the Merc flathead V-8 could never keep up with the Hudson H-145 Twin H-Power engine. Hudson was a NASCAR winner in 1952.

Like them both, Mercury today.  Like all the Hudsons '48 - '54 but, I would buy the '52 - '54 Mercury over the Hudson. I would buy the Hudson '48 to '51.

Tough call...Hudson for performance, Mercury for style.

Thanks Gents for your responses.
