'53 DeSoto, Mercury or Pontiac?

The Pontiac was always one of my personal favorites but when compared to the Merc I have to choose the Merc. The DeSoto is a close third; under appreciated/ unfamiliar to me growing up.

I was initially going for the DeSoto but at the last second went for that extremely pleasing looking Mercury Monterey. The Pontiac comes third for me.
Exactly the same.

The Pontiac was looking very dated by '53. The lower, sleeker styling of the other two cars and their interesting grills made them desirable.

That DeSoto is presented in the ideal color, but like most of the others here, I went with the Mercury.
(I know it's a '54, but close enough)
