I went with the Chevy as it looks a bit more modern, but the 1955s for both marques blow these two away.

I would go with the Plymouth for its lesser visibility in today's world. But I vote for Chevy for its current day familiarity, reliability and parts availability. And I've just always liked the '53 & '54 styling.
Seeing the two together and in the same color, I am struck by how similar they are. I voted for the Chevy but this one was a toss up.

Back then, I would have likely chosen Plymouth. Today, they look so similar and met the same market objectives back then. 1955 brought great changes. I voted a tie.
Plymouth please, the hood is not as high as the Chevy and the rear quarter panels don't bulge out like the Chevy. Just cleaner looking for my taste, never considered the Plymouth, too focused on the Mercury & Hudson in '53 & '54 but, never liked the '53 - '54 Chevy styling, loved the the '55 & liked the '52 Chevy though.
I like both cars very much but give the slight edge to Chevrolet styling.
I voted CHEVY, but I like the Plymouth a lot. Primarily because of its rarity today. And less face it, back in the day, most people would have liked the Chevy over the Plymouth.

I like the Plymouth but the 53 and 54 Chevy BelAirs were always of mine.
@brush I'm with you. You said exactly what I would have said if I had gotten to the site earlier.
Chevy for me, really like the grille and taillights! 😎

I agree with this 100%, word for word!

Love both but it's the Plymouth that gets my vote.
