CHRYLSER after surprisingly a rather long look at both cars. I've said it many times, but when it's close on the exterior of a car, I go to the Dashboard inside. And in this instance, CHRYSLER's gorgeous dash decided for me.

Like the wheels of both. Like the color combo better on the Chrysler but like the color breaks better on the Buick. Grill is nicer on the Roadmaster.
A close one since I like them both but I'm going with the Buick.
Both beautiful, Chrysler moreso.

'55 was an amazing year. Both of these nameplates had cachet. Buick was clearly an upscale nameplate. But its design was more evolutionary than the New Yorker's revolutionary look. "New Yorker" also carried significant weight, making this a tough decision. U;timately, I voted for the Chrysler for its fresh new look. Meanwhile, that color combo on the Buick is awesome!

Both are stunning, but a slight edge to the Chrysler. 😊
Quite a bit more than a slight edge to the Chrysler. It's GREEN.
@georgeschire The dash of the '55 Buick is very cool as well. Sure makes modern examples look blah hey? Lol.
Chrysler please John. Interesting green and white two tone here.
@georgeschire George, the dashboard shown for the Chrysler is from a 56 not the 55. While they were virtually the same, the 55 had a gear shift lever in the dash while the 56 had the first year push buttons.
While I had always liked the 55 Buick, the Chrysler St. Regis shown here just knocks my socks off. The colors and the slightly trimmer design make the Chrysler my pick today.

THANKS Bob, for the correction. That was a good catch.

Chrysler, definitely. I like the Buick too but the Chrysler looks so much more sporty.
Both fantastic - and I'd love to have either, but if only picking one, a very slight edge to the Chrysler.
