@georgeschire, good points. But, the '55 Imperial didn't look new to you?

With no attempt at wanting to disrespect anyone's liking the Imperial, sorry, but it appeared "very old and frumpy" looking to me.

Funny, because of these 3, only the Cadillac still had that high, bulbous hoodline...which to my eye makes IT the frumpy-looking one!

Imperial by a mile for me.  It is my favorite Imperial of them all.  IMHO its styling is no match for the others; although they are great designs as well.  Caddy for a strong second place and the relatively plain looking Lincoln last.....but Ford would change that up big time in '56!

I agree about the Cadillac's hood, but I'd hardly call it "bulbous".  As I mentioned in another post on this thread, for me, of the Big Three '50s cars, I think Cadillac for '54, '55 and '56 were the best looking cars.  From a rich and royal viewpoint, only the '56 Lincoln comes close.  Usually when I try and make a list of the best looking cars of the '50's, I have to take the '54, '55' and '56 Cadillac's out of the running, because of my thinking they are the most beautiful of anything else for that decade.
