A few years ago my vote would have immediately gone to Pontiac; my fave Poncho of its decade.  In recent years though I have found the '55 Merc increasingly more attractive, so I'm going with a tie.

Montclair for moi.

The Pontiac, though Pontiac Punchy, looks like it belonged to Cousin Elmer. But the Merc looks like the owner could be 'Cool Hand' Luke.

Mercury. I never cared for postwar Pontiac until 1957.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I like the Mercury but love the Pontiac. My love of the Pontiac comes from the fact that my dad bought a 55 Star Chief convertible new and it was the car I took my drivers test in. Many wonderful memories.

The Mercury.  It looks way more modern to me.

Tie for me. Like Jack, my tastes are changing. For years, I would have picked Pontiac. Mercury grows on me.

One of a handful of Franklins that I own, I’ve always liked the ‘55 Pontiac, probably imprinted in me from watching ‘I Love Lucy’ as a kid. Plus the fact that I’m a Pontiac man almost as much as my spirit brother Geno! I hope to acquire the Sun Star model someday, about five minutes after the Publisher’s Clearing House van leaves my driveway!

I like the Mercury would like to have driven that power house.  The Pontiac trim is done nicely.

Pontiac for me, though I wouldn't mind having the Mercury.
