This is a close one as this is my favorite year for both of these cars in this decade. DeSoto by a narrow margin!

I choose the DeSoto. From a syling point, I prefer the looks of this car over the Oldsmobile. They likely performed in a similar fashion.

I like the '55 DeSoto. I like the '55 Oldsmobile. And when it comes down to choosing only one of the two, I have to vote:

OLDSMOBILE

I don't quite understand the disdain directed at the Olds from many folks. But hey, it's America.

I also find this to be a difficult choice, but I'm voting DeSoto.

I much prefer the 56 DeSoto over the 55 so I chose Olds this round.
