Poll: Which '55? (9/29/2025)

I’ve always thought the Ford color break from this period was very sharp. The Merc is a little drab in my opinion, nothing to write home about.

I've always loved both of these - for '55 AND '56. I like the Merc's upper doily-like accent color but being that the Fairlane is the Crown Vicky - I gotta vote for that Superstar today! Ford.

Ford. It looks great, while the Mercury has too much going on.

Both these cars are great. I was lucky enough to drive both at various times when they were owned by friends and family. I remember being very impressed with the Mercury comfort and ride. I give it a slight nod, but could be happy with either.

Tie for me as well. Both are great in their own right. I've always loved that bodystyle on the 55/56 Merc.

MERCURY for me for '55.  However, move to '56 and I go with the Ford over the Mercury.  

I voted for the Ford. Maybe it’s the color of the Mercury cause I sort of like it but just not enough to vote for it.

Mercury for me.  It has the look of a Packard in the nose.

I love the '55 Mercury slightly more than the Ford and would have voted for it if it was a Sun Valley.  Ford Crown Vic gets the nod today.

 I've  had this one a long time. Danbury did good.
