I love the 55/56 Buicks. But with the 56 Buick against the Chrysler, I have to go with the handsome Chrysler. The color combo and, OMG, those wheels!
Voted Buick but the Chrysler grille and wheels made it close.

My favorite Buick of the Fifties isn't enough to beat that beautiful Chrysler.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I am not a fan of either car. Voted no interest.
The color combo on the Buick almost got me. But, in a very close vote, the Chrysler won.

Like the others, I found this to be very nearly a tie, but I followed my heart and voted Buick. With both of these marques I LOVE the '55 but the '56 not quite as much.
To me, that is one of the nicer looking Chryslers.
Easily the Chrysler, although I like this Buick very much.
Special was a considerably smaller car than Windsor, and didn't have a direct competitor in the Chrysler line-up. Windsor shared its wheelbase and overall length with the top-of-the-line New Yorker, but was less lavishly trimmed and had a smaller engine. The Buick Super had that same relationship with the Roadmaster.

Barry, I'm sure you're spot on with your compro in regard to the specs, I looked at the Special and the Windsor as both being entry level to the brand.Easily the Chrysler, although I like this Buick very much.

Without any hesitation I voted for the CHRYSLER. The Buick for '56, to my eyes, didn't cut it in the styling department after their '55.

Tough call...a slight edge to the Chrysler.

I always thought the Super was the same size as the Special but with the Roadmaster's engine. No?

That was the Century. Smaller body, big engine.
