1956 Chevrolet is my choice.  I owned owned a '56 convertible, stick shift  V8, and sold it for $1,200. in 1960. Like so many cars I owned, I wish I still had it now.  Wish I had the VIN number so U could

036. My 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convetible.

find out if is still around.

For me, Chevrolet, Ford and finally Plymouth. I spent happy times in all three but remember the Bel Air most fondly.

'56 Ford please.  Ford, Plymouth, Chevy in '56 would have been different in '55 or '57.

The '56 is my fave Ford of that decade so it wins.  The '56 Chevy is my 2nd fave Chevy of that decade, behind the '55; so Chevy places second.  The '56 Plymouth is my 2nd fave of that decade, behind the '55.  It places third but not far behind Chevy.  I would be proud to own any one of these cars.

1) FORD  2) Chevrolet  3) Plymouth.  As a side note, when all else fails in my making a decision on which car I like best when it's close, I go to the DASH BOARDS of the cars.  The FORD dash for '56 was the best of the three.  I liked it because it was new and different from the previous year.

Ford, Chevy, Plymouth. I owned a 56 Victoria which I bought in 1959. The car had factory A/C and the "safety package". Sadly I sold the car in 1962 when I went into the Navy. !956 was a great year for all three of these cars and I would love to have any of them in my garage.
