I like the aggressive look of the Merc!

Both super sharp cars. I voted Buick but it could easily have gone either way.
I voted Mercury. If the Buick had been a Super or Roadmaster I might have voted differently.

Bob, The Super or Roadmaster would have greatly widen the price gap between the two cars. I specifically chose the Special to keep the price more comparable.

Me too !
Buick wins...my favorite Buick of the 1950s.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Disregarding the far more beautiful color combo of the Buick I went with the Mercury styling, but it was very close. If it was the '55 or '57 year Buick would have won. I would be proud to own either of these cars (but I might repaint the Merc coral and graphite grey...lol).
I much prefer the Mercury on this pairing.
@sizedoesmatter Good point John B. I wasn't considering price as much as style but you are correct sir.
Buick is more appealing to my eye.

Some of these are just slam-dunks for me. The BUICK hands down today! I like the Mercury too, but when parked next to the Buick, the latter runs away with my vote. The Buick looks more modern and less boxy.

Funny how our eyes see things differently. I don't see the Mercury as having an "aggressive look", but rather a dated and boxy look. For the record though, I do like the Mercury, but just not against the Buick.

My pick is the entry level Buick over the top-of-the-line Mercury.
