I voted for Chevrolet. When a design reaches 'iconic' status that does not necessarily mean that it is a great design. In the case of the '57 Chevrolet, we have a design that is pleasant to behold and a big seller for GM. Pontiac Division was no doubt tasked to create something visually different with changes to grill, trim, etc. I think that the Chevrolet is the cleaner overall design and its popularity is deserved. When you see them in person, the stars on the flank of the Pontiac make for a fun detail but just don't add much to the overall impression of the design.
A friend of mine has one of the rarest permutations of a GM '57, one of the '57 El Moroccos that entrepreneur Reuben Allender created. A really rare vehicle.
