Both were personal luxury cars. Back in the day I would have chosen the Thunderbird but today I would pick the Studebaker for the interior space and ease of getting into  and out of.

Not sure why, but neither car has ever struck a cord with me.  One of the few times I vote, "no interest in this selection".

Studebaker. The styling update to the '53 bodystyle really worked!

Love them both and like  on, I would have picked the Thunderbird back then. Today, that Golden Hawk strongly appeals.I’d love to own it.

The Tbird really does it for me.  The Hawk is cool but not as clean as the Ford.

The Ford. It looks just like the one that my dad/brother has

This comparison is a bit apples vs. oranges for me as these cars are two vs. four seaters.  On looks alone I like the T-Bird slightly more...but would be proud to own either car.

I tend to agree with Jack.  Studebaker's body dated to 1953 and T-Bird's to 1955.  But the Hawk's rear seat and roomier driver's compartment just resist comparison with the T-Bird.  Because I can't compare them, I'm going with "Tie."  But I agree with Jack's "would be proud to own either" and add "or both!"
