For 1958, PONTIAC for me please.  Put the same two cars for 1957 head to head as a choice and my vote is Chrysler.  And then put the same two against each other for 1959, and I'm back to the Pontiac.

The '58 Pontiac has always been one of my favorite designs of the fifties. Pitting it against the Chrysler makes for a hard choice, but I remain loyal to the Poncho

I like the Chrysler 300 shape and power.  The Pontiac is nice and different without fins for 48.  It resembles the 58 Chevy.

Pontiac for the easy win today.  Its styling and trim is gorgeous; especially in HT form.  I was never a fan of the gaping mouth grille of this era of Chrysler.

I will never forgive the Chrysler stylists for going from this in 1957:

to this in 1958:

It's a grudge I've carried for 67 years 😤 and I'm not letting it go...so for today, and just out of spite, I vote for the Pontiac!

For years I would have picked the Pontiac. I too was resentful of the changes made in in the late 1950s by Chrysler. Now, I rather like it. It looks bold. The Chrysler 300 is my choice.

One of GM’s most beautiful cars of the ‘50’s, and defiantly one of the most beautiful DM renditions!
