Chevy by 10 miles for me...no contest for styling (and quality control).

The Plymouth’s style is exceptional! But very few cars can compare to the Impala in ‘58 for me. I’d pick it over everything I can thing of for 1958.

I likely am in a minority but I was disappointed by both these vehicles when they first came out feeling both were regressive moves in both style and size. While I am generally a GM fan, in this case, the least disappointing is the Plymouth.

Impala for me but I do like the styling of the Plymouth. Build quality is night and day difference in favor of the Chevy.

So different, but still a difficult choice. I'll go Chevy tonight. Tomorrow could be the other way.

A no-brainer for me.  CHEVROLET!  For '58 General Motors stole the show from its Big Three rivals.  What makes it even more beautiful, is that it was a "one year only" body-style.  It's a timeless classic.

And my family had one (Belair) when I was 5 or 6

Two of my favorites, but IMO the Chevy is one of the best looking American cars ever made.

'58 bad year for styling in my opinion. Lessor of two evils I voted Plymouth. '58 the DeSoto wins for me.

I’ve always been a fan of the taillights on the ‘58 Chevy, first year for the triple taillight design.

The '58 Plymouth was a slight refresh of the '57. While the gorgeous '58 Chevrolet had undergone a radical redesign from the prior year. The Impala and the Pontiac Bonneville were two of the most beautiful cars of the mid to late Fifties.
