I've said it before and I'll say it again, the ChryCo stylists worked a miracle by improving the outstanding '68/'69 midsize design with the '70 "refresh" for an even better look!

'70, '69, '71 in order for me.

My choice would be 1st 1969, 2nd 1971, 3rd 1970.

WOW, we're all over the board here. I'm 1970, 1971, then 1969.

Reverse order. I love the 1971 fuselage styling. The grille on the 1970 makes it second.

I have diecast replicas of the 1969 and 1971 Plymouths, but not yet the 1970 one. And I lost one of my two '71 Plymouths to intergranular corrosion, although I still have one in 1/43 scale.

Barry nailed it for me. The '70 is the pinnacle of the Roadrunner design. To me anyway. 😁

Based purely on looks rather than the car's merits as a performance vehicle, l always disliked the 68-69 style. I thought the body sides looked like really crude, tinny stampings. Maybe that styling expressed the car's brutally "functional" mission in life but it wasn't pretty to my eye. I didn't care for the rear roof pillar shape either.

The '70 body was smoothed over a little, and it is quite nice, I suppose.

But I just love the aesthetics of the '71 Satellite/Road Runner/GTX body, from the loop bumper on back. Maybe the styling of the rear end isn't quite as dramatic as the rest, but overall, the '71 gets my vote by a large margin. Handsome. (Its relative merits - or otherwise - as a performance car doesn't concern me, I'm just talking about styling).

I should go with a tie on the 70 and 71.  But I finally decided on the 71 for the new body style.
