Love that Dodge, but I'm going for the still-quirky-even-after-'58 Edsel.

Neither one is an oil painting, but I voted Dodge for its extravagant looks.

Two different design philosophies here, and I think they both succeed in their own way. Soon, Dodge would go a different (actually two different) design directions and Edsel would leave the scene. I like both of these cars with their design quirks. Certainly, both were unmistakable on the highway !
I’ve always liked that year Dodge.

I have no photos of either hanging on the walls. I never liked any year Edsel all that much but some Dodges have been favorites. While that doesn't exactly include the '59 Royal Lancer, I don't hate it. Dodge.
Dodge for me, the '59 is my least favorite Edsel. Not so much the front styling, but the rear leaves a lot to be desired.
Edsel, the lessor of two evils.
1959 was definitely not a banner year for many cars. I agree with Bob.
This is my fave year of Edsel but still it lacks pizzaz, which the flamboyant Dodge has in spades (especially the tail end). Dodge gets the nod; although I wouldn't want to own one.
If I was in this market segment in 1959, I'd be shopping Pontiac.

@david-green I thought GM had a pretty good lineup for '59 except for Cadillac. Not a conservative design year though....lol.
Dodge I like the catlike grill and fins and tail lights. I just feel bad for the owl like grill on the Edsel. What were they thinking.
