I'll take the Ford. I like the lines. I find the high tail fins of the Plymouth too over the top for this time period.
I like the Ford, but I voted for the PLYMOUTH. I like the red on the Plymouth over the black on the Ford. And it comes down to this, if I were to drive in my neighborhood in the PLYMOUTH, I'm going to be noticed. Noticed a lot more and faster than the Ford.

I agree .....Ford for me.

Once again we differ George. I vote for the styling of model car offered, not the color pictured. '60 Ford styling against '60 Plymouth styling not the exact car pictured, I may be doing this comparison post wrong. You can always re-paint them or change the rims, etc., if somebody gave me my choice to own.

Yes we differ. But I didn't vote on the Plymouth simply because of the color, as I'd like it equally well in black. I voted on it because in comparison to the (in my opinion) drab Ford, the Plymouth looks exciting and newer to me than the Ford. Oh yes though, to each their own.

I owned a 60 ford galaxie - a green 4 dr sdn with a 352 engine. I needed a car and it was a good price , even tho I didn't much like its looks. My Dad thought it was so ugly he didn't even want me to park it in front of our house. Over the years I have come to appreciate its looks more and more, and now I think it, especially the Starliner, is one slick looking car.

George, I agree with you. The comparison here has been overwhelmingly favorable to the Plymouth, which is all dolled up against a plain Jane Ford. I voted Plymouth too, even thought I'm not a fan.

The difference in opinion is what makes this site interesting to me. You point out our basic difference in personal taste on cars it would seem. You want to stand out in a crowd and say hay look at me. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, and brightens up the world. Where as I prefer clean basic styling that does not stand out in a crowd and does not attract attention to me or it self. I enjoy the fact we can share the differences, thanks.
I do much prefer the Plymouth drive train and suspension to the Ford.
