That Dodge Polara looks great but I still prefer the Mercury Monterey for 1961.

I’m going for a tie here, good looking Dodge and classy Merc.

This was a tougher one than I thought it would be.  But since the Mercury became a Ford body look-a-like again (though they were better looking than the Ford), my vote goes to DODGE.

I thought the '61 Dodges were gorgeous with their "reverse tail-fin taillights" (see photo below).  I thought the '61 Dodge along with its sister make, the Plymouth were two of the most beautiful cars of the sixties.

To me, neither looks good, so a rare "no interest" from me.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Just love the reverse fins and general styling of the 61 Dodge, outstanding looking Mopar….

Merc by contrast looks bland.

Mercury please, one of my favorites along with the '61 Galaxie.  You may keep the '61 - '64 Dodges body styling just was too weird for my taste.

Mercury by a wide margin for me.  I never have warmed up to the 61 Dodge; it is one of my least liked cars of the 60s.

Who cannot like a Dodge?  Great design work.

I would not have considered either one of these, back then or today.

I looked at that Dodge again today and wished that it could have been a 1:24 scale diecast.  It is one beautiful automobile.
