Buick today, I never have, and still don't like the canted headlight look. But that's just me though. 😊

Chrysler. It's fins may be outdated, but it makes a real statement. And I do like canted headlights.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I like the canted headlights too. But by '61, the Mopar fins were wearing on me. I really like the lithe, lean look of the Buick. It tells me exciting things are ahead for the sixties.

The Buick is nice, but the Chrysler has the lines.

Buick please, one of the very few Buick's I like, then again I liked all the FoMoCo & GMC offerings in '61 to '64. The only Chrysler product I liked in '61 to '64 is the '62 Chrysler 300.

Very nearly a tie.  The Buick styling  looks trim and sharp; a bold step away from the previous two fin focused years.  The comparatively flamboyant Chrysler is all fins and flash and its canted headlights look great; together they command attention but the styling is too dated.  Chryco sure changed this one for the better in '62 though!  Buick gets the nod this time but it's close!

@brush +1. I wasn't tired of the fins, I never much cared of them. In this comparison Buick.

I always loved the CHRYLSER fins, so it gets my vote.  They weren't as iconic as the '60s fins, but they still made a bold statement.

Sadly, in '62 when Chrysler took an eraser to those fins, the car looked naked.

As for the '61 Buick, I've never warmed up to the "pointy" front fenders.  After the beautifully styled '59 and '60 Buick's, the '61 was lost on getting my attention.

Funny, by 1961 the "Forward Looking" Chrysler was actually looking backwards, while the trim, lean, modern looking Buick was taking a step into the future.

That being said, I still voted for the Chrysler for its sheer flamboyance!

Yes the Buick design is the future. But my vote is for the Bug eye Chrysler.  Last hurray for fins and Grandfather had one with an oval steering wheel and the dash was cool but I was a little shaver back then
