The Merc is adorable with its mini-fins; I've always liked it. But, please, that Poncho turns me on! Look at them thar wheels! Ooo-Eee! Bonneville all day long!

I like the Mercury very much and would be proud to own one but the '61 Pontiac has always been my favorite full size car of its decade.

Mercury from '60 through '62 was at its best in my eyes. The '61 gets my vote today.

Pontiac takes a big win from me today. The company was on its takeoff roll.

Love the '61 Mercury, it is my # 2 Mercury, #1 '56 & #3 '54

Love the '61 Pontiac, it is my #1 Pontiac.

I'll go with the Pontiac today, being #1.

You reminded me of what a great product Mercury offered through the 60s.  IMHO there wasn't an unattractive Mercury (or Comet for that matter) made in that decade.  My fave Mercury was the '63 Marauder; fave Comet was the '64 Cyclone or Caliente.

For me there is no comparison, it's the Poncho 101% ! I want to be the young man strutting about town in that Pontiac.  I don't want to look like a little old bank employee  piloting around in that Merc.

Again tough choices, but the Pontiac just looks that little bit more stylish to me.
