Two legendary cars. As close to a tie as possible, for me, but I have to go with the Grand Prix once more.

I generally prefer "understated", which describes the beautiful Grand Prix to a T. But the glamorous side trim on the '62 Starfire really appeals to me so I'm voting Olds today.

Love both, but love the GP more. It's elegant and understated.

The sculpted lines of the Grand Prix make it my pick even though I owned two 62 Starfire hardtops. Tough decision.

Having owned a '62 Starfire Hardtop, is only one of the reasons I vote for it today.  The other reason is, my eyes honestly see it as the most beautifully styled 1962 from all of the Big Three automakers that year.  It just oozes with elegance!

I can't tell you how much I enjoy getting up and searching to see if your poll is up yet, John. Thanks for the fun diversion from the stress of our current times (well, at least my stress).

They are beautiful 1962 automobiles fron General Motors and I am delighted to have 1/18 diecast models of each of them.

@georgeschire I agree with George about the Olds being the best looking GM car for '62....and the others are pretty darn close; especially the Impala HT, my fave Chevy of that decade.

We are in agreement on the '62 Chevy Impala too.  I'd rank GM's '62 line-up like this:

1) OLDSMOBILE

2) CHEVROLET

3) BUICK

4) PONTIAC

5) CADILLAC.
