Two all-time classics ! I would probably like to drive around America's highways and Main Streets in a first-year Stingray.
I voted tie. I really like them both, but there are also things I don't like. I don't like the louvers on the hood of the 63 Corvette. To me, they look like cheap after market. I prefer the Jaguar convertible over the saloon model.
John, I can hear you snidely giggling and waving your wizard's wand around. Pure genius, pairing these two iconic and beautiful cars together.
In this, I'm voting for the Corvette Split Window Coupe.
Just know that if this were the Stingray CONVERTIBLE against that of the E-Type, I'd vote Jag - I like the convertible far better than the coupe and more than the Vette in '63 drop top form.
Corvette, both iconic, but I'd expect the Corvette to be more reliable.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
While I like that Corvette, it is Jaguar all the way. Tuning of that Jag engine might be a pain but otherwise, a great engine. I do prefer the roadster.
I am not a fan of 2 seat sports cars and they must be convertibles, hate the hard tops. Vette over the Jag every time.
The Jag for me. One of my favorite European cars, and I do not like many.
I like both but there’s no way I’d ever pass up a ‘63 Corvette.
My favorite American sports car vs. my favorite European sports car. Their styling is very different obviously but both are stunning. The nod goes to the Corvette for reliability mixed with a dash of N. American bias...lol.. Great comparison John!
@ed-glorius Ed, very nice...loving the sidepipes.
