Chrysler for its chiseled good looks.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

John!! Oh man.......JOHN!! PAISANO, you're killing me here!

1964. Bought my first new car. A Pontiac GTO. Muscle car, compact, quick. So why am I looking at '64 full length 'Daddy cars'??

I surprised myself though. That's what you specialize in Mr. Bono!!

I like the uniqueness and sculptured body lines of the Chrysler 300. But as I study the potential allure of the Olds, I see past a slab-sided body to see a big car that isn't ashamed to claim an affordable opulence of European cars half its size. Color combo-wise it's magnificent. As a convertible it's handsome. I voted Olds!!

I have to agree on the Chrysler.  The 63 and 64 models were standouts.  When you saw one, you knew right away that it was a Chrysler.

'64 Olds are good.  Just don't care for that generation of Chrysler.

Olds gets the easy win today.  The styling of the '63-'64 Chrysler never appealed to me at all; perhaps because I loved the '62 styling so much.  I really like the look of the entire '64 Oldsmobile lineup; the example offered today has a mix of elegance and sportiness that is enhanced by its color combo.

Always thought those Oldsmobiles looked kind of "tinny" compared with precious years. It seems to think it's a Mercury.

That generation of Chryslers were good looking from some angles (especially the front), a bit too angular in other ways for my taste, but I'd give it my vote.

I just wondered in passing how it would have looked if they had turned the grille "upside down" as in 1960.

And I bet some of you still have a secret, perverse longing for those old Chrysler fins

(Sorry about that!)

@graeme-ogg The upside down grille is OK, but the fins are not.

Me too. Like the grille, the fins are too wonky. Your skills, though, are wicked cool!

@jack-dodds Right; I know, I know. That's why he's such an idol. One day, God willing, and I pray it may get here, I hope to grow up just like him. He's preeminent.
