I do like the T-Bird, but it doesn't hold a candle to that Breathtakingly Beautiful Buick!

This era of Riviera is just gorgeous whereas IMHO the T-Bird styling tanked dramatically after '63. No contest....Riv gets the easy nod.
I Voted a tie. I like the Buick best but those sequential turn signals on the t-bird fascinated me as a 6 year old so much that my 2014 Mustang has ‘em.
OMG - JOHN!! Like an oscillating fan on a hot summer's night; I'm going one way, then the other.
I am in love with both. I can see me driving the Riviera to a car show and feeling proud - especially in that Desert Beige Metallic paint. Yet, away from crowds, I'd revel in driving the T-Bird in the country on a winding road.
If I can't have both, and must pick one, I'd go with the Ford.
What is this evil that has been perpetrated upon us this day? That we must choose between the two most beloved vehicles of all time is a tragic poverty! Alas, my soul in anguish, I choose the Buick, and I curse my choice for denying the Ford.

Both are beautiful but the Riviera is an icon. It gets my vote.

I've been sitting here for several minutes trying to decide and by the smallest of margins I pick the Buick. Tomorrow it might be the T-Bird,
No contest for me, T-bird please, wish it was a convertible. Just don't like the styling of most Buicks especially pre-'55's and '58's and Riviera's.
Both interesting vehicles and I would be pleased to own either. That Riviera is so outstanding that I have to choose it, here.
Both are gorgeous, but the Riv is timeless. Riv for me please.🤑
The Riviera may be an ICON - but for me, while nice, the '65 is far superior in overall style-sex appeal. That puts the other ICONIC choice, the Thunderbird in my sights for this comparison, I'm flying down the road with the Bird instead.

More difficult than I expected. The Riviera is one of my all-time favourites but maybe I suffered a kind of reaction today and just for a moment I was tempted by the T-Bird. But long-term, I think the Riv has the enduring styling kudos the 'Bird can't quite aspire to.
By the way, I see Tony P. would "revel in driving the T-Bird in the country on a winding road.". Not sure it's the ideal car for the purpose, handling-wise?

I don't even have to think about this one. I vote for the RIVIERA without hesitation. I remember reading how Buick took the Riviera from Cadillac, who was originally going to call it the LaSalle, but passed on it. And Buick wanting to come up with a car to compete with Ford's Thunderbird, gave us the RIVIERA, bringing back the name they used in the 1940's. The car was a winner to my eyes. A timeless beauty!

Graeme; an excellent point that I thought about prior to voting but wasn't sure it needed explaining. I will though. The last car I drove even NEAR it's limits was my 2003 Corvette Z06. Since then I've gotten older and MUCH slower. A leisurely trip down a tree-lined country road where I can count the leaves, is my kind of heaven.
