OMG!  Let me repeat, OMG!  This is one of the most challenging "Which Ones?" you've shared with us John.

I absolutely love both cars!  After just staring at them both for quite some time, not wanting to vote TIE, I made up my mind that the OLDSMOBILE wins because of the regular headlights and after all, it's an OLDSMOBILE.

But I wouldn't argue a bit if you wanted to give me that Mercury either.  WOW FACTOR for both!

I had to vote tie.  I like both too much to pick just one

Not my personal favorite year for either car. The 442 has a heavy back end so I'm going with the Cougar.

I like the Cougar's size but not its facelift. I went with the Oldsmobile.

@georgeschire I have to agree with George on this pairing.  But for me, I am going with a tie.  Love them both and really could not decide.

My preference for mid-size cars over pony cars makes me want the Olds. My preference for FoMoCo over GMC makes me want the Cougar. Both beautiful cars, '70 I would have bought a Charger.

For today's pick it is the Oldsmobile.

Not keen on the nose job done on the '70 Cougar and like this year Olds over the '69; especially the tail lights.  Olds for me!

The other day on another thread, the discussion was about favorite Oldsmobile's.  A few of us applauded the '57 Olds as being the best looking of the Fifities and the '62 Olds the best looking of the Sixties.  If I were to pick the best looking Olds of the Seventies, it's hands down this'70 4-4-2.  I get goose-bumps looking at it.  If I had those three Oldsmobile's parked in my driveway, I'd honestly believe I was drooling in Heaven.

Another tie. Quite different automobiles but both charming in their distinctive ways.

Both are beautiful and powerful automobiles. I have replicas of each of these cars and they make delightful models to look at or display.

Oldsmobile for me. I didn't care for the Cougar after 1968.

Two fine example of American Muscle...going with the 442.

Gents, thanks for your responses!
