Both cars that I, personally, would give a left.....little toe to own. But that Pontiac looked me directly in the eye and said, and I quote, "Take me home Tony". What could I do??? I voted Pontiac!

Pontiac styling for '65 was the best of the lot IMHO.

@perrone1, Tony! You're such a pushover for a pretty face and a voluptuous body! Have some standards, man!! As for me, I refuse to be seduced by magnificent headlights, wide, curvy hips, and a fiery heart. Instead, I voted for the...uhhh...hmmm...PONTIAC! OK, I'm such a loser!

All by myself, DODGE!  '65 i loved the Monaco in GREEN of course. The Monaco model was only offered in a 2 door hard top in '65.

65 Dodge Monaco Green000001 800x572
65 Dodge Monaco Green000008 800x572
65 Dodge Monaco Green000004 801x572
65 Dodge Monaco Green000013 800x572
65 Dodge Monaco Green000016

Pontiac full-size; I loved '61 to '64, don't care for them after that.

LOLOLOL! Those large bedroom headlights just pierced my soul. That playfully devilish grille whispered, "Hi Big Boy, wanna turn my key?" I just fainted dead away!  Laughing Out Loud

I mentioned that I would love to own either. If this gorgeous pic were up, I could easily see my vote going in a different direction!

Pontiac all the way, the Dodge in this comparison doesn’t get a 2nd look!

As a Pontiac devotee, I was surprised how close this was. The Monaco is beautiful with its dumbbell grille, trapezoidal roofline, and triangular taillamps. But the Pontiac still wins for its verve...but it needs the rear fender skirts the standard Catalina could have.

@brush

I love your great photos shared of the Dodge, but sorry, as nice as it looks, against the Pontiac, it's #2.

I specifically selected the Polara as opposed to the Monaco since I believe the Polara is a more appropriate match for the lower scale Catalina.  I would select the Dodge Monaco for a more upscale comparison like the Pontiac Bonneville or Grand Prix.
