A family member had that Pontiac and loved it. I enjoyed many a great ride in it so loyal, I choose it this time. That Mercury is neat looking though.

I had a '66 Pontiac Bonneville when I took my (then) girlfriend on our first date.  That was in October 1972, we got engaged in May 1973 and married in January 1974.  It's been the best FOREVER I could have ever imagined.  I love her more each day.

Um, can you guess which '66 I voted for?  Smile

The difference is night vs. day, with the Pontiac appearing much more modern, for the time. It is a beauty.

Pontiac owned the 1960s. It wins.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Pontiac at its peak.  (Although I do like the early firebird)

The '66 Pontiac was one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

I much prefer the Mercury over Pontiac 66 thru 72.  I loved the 65 Pontiac and all of them from 1940 onward thru 65; but the 66 greatly disappointed me as IMHO it looked bloated and chunky compared to the sleek, stylish 65.

The Mercury is nice, but no way can it compete with the Pontiac.
