Tough one! While I favor the Riviera's design, I voted for the Toronado. I vividly remember when they were introduced. Both were beautiful. But that Toro was brawny, huge, and all-American. It was so exotic, like a modern-day Cord.

+1  I agree....Toronado by a nose.

I hated both back in the day, but over the years I have grown to appreciate the Olds.

For me the "in your face" styling of the Toro comes off as trying too hard when compared to the graceful elegance of the Riviera.
