Really gorgeous American mid-sized muscle ! Back in that day, I would be absolutely delighted to drive either of these automobiles.

The Ford has better proportions and cool stacked headlights. It wins for me.

I loved my 66 Skylark GS 400. This body worked well through out the GM intermediates. I like the Ford but love the Chevelle.

I love both of these bodystyles, but '66 is my all time favorite Chevelle,  so it gets the nod.😊

Not a fan of the 66-67 Chevelle's so my vote went with the Ford.

Never that year Chevy.  Just a little too boxy.  The fines on the Ford resemble Dodge and Plymouth styles or visa versa

The Ford is my choice as I’m not a  ‘66 Chevelle fan. The Ford styling already makes it look like it’s accelerating whereas the Chevy’s standing still.

Very close for me. I love the sound of the 396 in the Chevy and its flying buttress roofline. But I love the interior and overall design of the Ford. My vote goes to the Ford today.

Going with the Chevelle but the Fairlane is nice too.

Gents, thanks for your replies.

Chevelle styling wins by a very slim margin; both are lovely cars.
