Dodge, Pontiac, Merc. Very close but that Dodge looks most appealing in that photo. 👀

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I'm going with the semi-luxury, semi-sporty Cougar. The Dodge and Pontiac follow closely in that order.

Dodge, Mercury then Pontiac for me although any of the three would fit well in my driveway.
All three will get my attention anytime I see them. But the COUGAR is the one that I will always see FIRST! Then with but with the slightest margin, I'd take the Dodge over the Pontiac. Great comparison today John! THANKS as always for taking the time to provide this feature for us.

Isn't the Cougar a Pony Car and the other two are mid-size/intermediate cars, the old apples to oranges??
Dodge Coronet by a mile. Don't care for the styling of Pontiac mid-size offerings after '67. Don't care for the Mercury Cougar after '68 and much prefer mid-size cars to pony cars. They are all beautiful cars, just a matter of taste. Wouldn't say no to any of the three.
I don't consider it "apples to oranges" at all. To my eyes they are all "muscle cars" and represent a special era none of us will ever enjoy again. Glad I was around when these classics were all the rage in owning a car.

The Dodge is an easy winner; I love everything about it. The Cougar is a strong second; although I prefer the 67-68 styling. I much prefer the 64-67 GTO styling to later years; although this one is still a cool car.
I choose the Cougar. Very nicely styled new body. Tie on GTO and MOPAR as they're just like the '68s

I say, "Yes !" to all of them. They are each beautiful and desirable American muscle.
Agree 101% .... We will never see in our lifetimes such incredible cars at such incredible prices !
My loan for the Trans-Am was $60 a month !! I was employed by the USPS and was making some good $.
What was my undoing was the miles I drove and the TA's 'excellent' gas consumption !!!
Dayum, I shoulda just garaged it and continued driving my Opel Kadette...lol
I love all three muscle cars. Going with Pontiac, Dodge and Mercury by the closest of margins.
