Could be a toss-up with me. Like them both but I like other years better for the Cougar. Going, here, with the Boss 429!!

Ford for me too. Cleaner lines, better proportions. I never liked the sidesweep on the Cougar.

Mercury for me.  Love the flip headlights.

@ed-glorius Ed I agree. I liked the 67 and 68 Cougars until they did that sidesweep. Mustang.

Love both. Could not chose. A tie this time, John.

This one was almost a tie as I like both very much, but I gave the nod to the Cougar Eliminator for its rarity.

Always found Mustang styling of this era heavy-handed, bluff and clumsy. Not the Cougar's best year either.

A "negative tie" for me.  I score them at -10 points apiece.

(Obviously caught me on a bad day. Sorry.)

@graeme-ogg I much prefer the look of the '69 Mach I Mustang. IMHO its hood scoop and trim/decals give the car a sleeker appearance; especially with the rear spoiler deleted..

The ELIMINATOR over the Boss for me!  For some reason I never got excited about Mustangs, but when the Cougar emerged in '67, everything about it grabbed me.  And the color on this baby just makes its name a winner.  Oh, and I like the sides-weep that some others aren't excited about.

Loved the '67 - '68 Cougar, didn't care for them after that.  The only Mustangs I loved were '68 - '69 Mustang, yes the '67 & '70 were all right, didn't care for any other Mustangs.
