Cougar '67 & '68, Mustang '69 & '70.

OUCH! For me, another squeaker. I have always been a huge fan of that first gen Cougar, partcularly the XR 7s and Eliminators. But the '69 & '70 Mustangs are aslo favorites. I think Ford was at the top of its game here with two gorgeous cars on the market in '69m a year ahead of the stunning F-Body cars from GM in 1970. Neither the Mustang nor the Cougar needed a lot of improvement for '70, mild updates did the job well and still were able to hold their own against the GM offerings. What an amazing time for pony cars! I'm voting for the Mustang today. Tomorrow might be another story, they're that close for me.

I love both but I love the Cougar a whole lot more so it's my choice. I'm not a fan of the 'stang's rearward visibility and I prefer the '69 MACH 1 styling. Steve

Really close! I like both a lot but almost on a toss, I will go with the Cougar. I’m not too keen on the colour of this particular example.

I take the "nose treatment" of the Cougar over the Mustang all day.I'm not a big fan of the nose treatment on either of these; much prefer the '69. It's a rare tie for me this time.

COUGAR for me! I like the grill work better, though not the hidden headlights. That however, doesn't disqualify if from liking it better than the Mustang. And the color of the Cougar is a killer!

I voted Mustang although they were starting to get large. The Cougar is ok but I could never get with orange.
