Well done! They're all amazing vehicles. But my heart goes to the Camaro. I always thought this was one of GM's best design efforts. It's incredibly cohesive, with every line flowing smoothly into the next, an aggressive front clip, broad shoulders, and that beautiful kamm-back tail. Throw in the elegant and spare RS split bumper grill, and you have a design for the ages.
Again, a tough choice for all these are desirable vehicles which would be great to drive. Currently, I slightly prefer the Camaro with the Plymouth second and Mustang last, only because I prefer earlier Mustangs more. Thanks John, not an easy choice this time.
Of these three it is the Mustang followed by the Cuda. The only Camaro I like is the '69 SS RS. The only Cuda I like is the '71. Mustang I prefer is the '69 . For 1970 I love the Challenger T/A but not offered here.
This is a very close one; I love them all. Camaro gets the nod over Cuda for a slightly better design shape and better quality interior. The Mustang finishes third but not far behind. I liked its grille/headlight design much better in 1969.
This one was easy for me. 1) Plymouth 'Cuda (by a landslide) 2) Ford Mustang 3) Chevy Carmaro.
With no malice intended to any of my fellow Lounge buddies, I positively hated the styling of the '70 Camaro. Guess I couldn't get over the drastic change from its beauty the previous years. But this one didn't flow right for me.
As for the Mustang, it appeared too big and bulbous to my eyes and I was never really fan of their styling previously, so this one wasn't a favorite.
Which leads me to the Plymouth Baracuda. When I first saw one brand new at Fury Motors in South St. Paul back in 1970, to this very day, I want one! It along with Dodge's Challenger have always gotten my attention.
For my money these are the best Pony Cars. '70 340x6 Dodge & '71 440x6 Plymouth.
I agree! I graduated from high school in 1970 and remember wishing that I could have bought a Challenger or Baracuda, but of course that was a pipe dream at the time.
