For me, this would get down to the interior. I go with the Ford.

Wow, a subject matter near and dear to my heart!  Chevrolet by a hair over the Ford, mainly for its innovative clamshell tailgate.  Close third for the Plymouth, although I do prefer the 1970-71 loop front bumper and wood paneling treatment over the 1972's.  Thx John!

No real interest for me, although I look at these as non pickup truck option for a handyman, painter, or electrician…

1) FORD  2) CHEVROLET  3) PLYMOUTH

What is really most amazing to me is how none of these wagons, as beautiful as they are, would have been the chosen choice of wheels for most car owners back then.  And yet, about 8 out every 10 cars on the road today is an SUV, which is basically a station wagon.  Oh how times change.

Wow! Three cars, each with a “picture of wood” on them!

That Chevrolet Kingswood Estate was my wife’s car. Great workhorse and my first choice. Ford next, then Plymouth, John. Loved that massive opening tailgate on the Chevrolet that went under the floor. We liked that car so much that we replaced it with the 1976 Chevrolet Caprice Estate.

My choices echo George's.

Ford...love the styling.

Chevy...love the tailgate.

Plymouth...well.... it's ok.

Ford styling wins this time; Chevy second, Plymouth third.
