Easy pick for me, the Ford. The others just look too “frumpy” for me. Kind of like comparing Mary Ann to Ma Kettle 🤣

@ed-glorius Exactly what Steve said, even with his foreboding accent.

@100ford2003 Sorry Steve, I tend to say strange things when I’m sober, it’s kind of like Tourette’s.

PS…what characters?

@kevins

Lol, Mary Ann was on Gilligan’s Island and Ma Kettle was a character in some 40s-50s movies.

I'm bucking convention here but who cares? The 'shoebox' Ford looked pretty much the same for three years. So we've familiarized ourselves with it. The Merc & Lincoln - not so much. The better looking of the three, to me, seems to be the Lincoln & Mercury with extra niceties than the Ford. Going with Mercury.

Mercury for me.  If the Lincoln had a less obtrusive side spear chrome piece I would have picked it.

For me I always loved the Merc, then the Ford, followed by the Lincoln.

Ford. Very clean styling for 1949.

Ford, Mercury, then Lincoln but I like them all and would love a drive in any.

Frumpy!! Just look at her, style and sophistication! I remember the movies from the 40s and early 50’s.

I voted Mercury for ‘49; if they were ‘51s it would be the Lincoln.
